Gateway College beat Lyceum, Panadura by 10 wkts to enter the Semi Finals

Gateway College Colombo beat Colombo International School (CIS) - Colombo, Horizon College International and Lyceum International School, Panadura in the Inter International School Under 19 Cricket tournament organized by Lyceum Wattala.

Gateway beat CIS Colombo by 72 runs. Kavindu Warnukulasuriya 106 along with Janindu Nandasena 90 helped Gateway College to secure a score of 242 for the loss of 2 wickets. Gateway bowlers managed to restrict Colombo International school for a score of 170 for 5. Manith Panagoda scored 79 and Amar Cassim scored 25 and Janindu Nandasena had figures of 2 for 16.

Gateway beat Horizon by 43 runs. Batting first Gateway posted a score of 147 runs in 20 overs. Skipper and all rounder Dulain Perera scored 53 runs while Ahamanullah Aman scored 44 runs. Thisan Nirmala and Akith Janudika returned with bowling figures of 2/29 and 2/18 respectively. Horizon managed to score 104 runs in 20 overs. Sanu Abeyratne scored 25 and Govin Vinvath took 2 wickets for 10 runs.

Gateway beat Lyceum Panadura by 10 wickets. Lyceum Panadura decided to bat first and scored 102. Akmal Fazly scored 40 runs. Dulain Perera took 3 for 12, Janindu Nandasena took 2 for 22 runs and Govin Vinwath took 2 for 17. Gateway’s run chase was remarkable when they reached the score in 13 overs. Kavindu Warnukulasuriya 46* and Ahamanullah Aman 44* had an outstanding partnership.
